The YW series Vertical Semi-submersible Sewage Pump is designed with durability, ease of use, stability, reliability, and maintenance-free operation as the main objectives, and it has the following advantages:
1. High Efficiency and Non-Blocking Design
This pump features a specially designed impeller, available in single, double-gear, open-model, and double-leaf options, which ensures high performance and prevents blockages. The pump housing and all internal flow components are optimized to work seamlessly with the impeller. Depending on the pumped media, these parts can be customized in terms of material and design to guarantee optimal hydraulic efficiency and extended service life, even when handling media containing solid particles, long fibers, or corrosive and abrasive substances.
With a wide, smooth flow passage, the pump can transport solid materials with particle sizes up to 50% of the pump’s diameter. The motor and cable are positioned above the water surface, providing added protection from submersion. The pump can handle wastewater at temperatures up to 80°C, making it suitable for various applications that require resistance to oil, wear, and higher temperatures.
2. Ease of Use and Long Service Life
The pump’s impeller is submerged in water, ensuring easy startup. An optional automatic liquid-level control system can be added to regulate the pump’s operation based on water levels, eliminating the need for constant monitoring.
Designed for maintenance-free operation, the pump features a rigid shaft and high-quality roller bearings from well-known brands. The pump is pre-lubricated with high-temperature-resistant grease, so there’s no need for additional lubrication during operation. The system operates smoothly with minimal noise. Additionally, both the bearing system and the main shaft are fully isolated from the media being pumped, extending the service life of the bearings.
Double mechanical seals in series provide enhanced protection, with a spiral seal made from corrosion-resistant tungsten carbide or silicon carbide ensuring no leakage during operation. O-rings are used for static sealing, solving potential leakage issues and significantly improving the overall lifespan of the pump.
3. Stable, Vibration-Free Operation and Durability
The pump is vertically configured, and its modular design allows for easy adjustment of the motor stand, clutch, drive shaft, and bearing to match the required submersion depth. The pump casing and impeller can be submerged between 0.5 and 10 meters, while the motor stays above the water surface. This design ensures stable, vibration-free operation by driving the impeller directly via the drive unit.
The pump is equipped with an efficient suction barrel at the inlet, designed to maximize the liquid's depth and prevent clogging while offering nice resistance to tangling and effective waste removal.
The pump is compact and stable, easy to install, and features an elastic cylindrical pin clutch that connects the main shaft to the drive shaft. This system compensates for any misalignment between the shafts and provides shock absorption, ensuring quiet and stable operation. The submersion depth is fully adjustable based on user requirements.
