The pump’s intake port connects to the vacuum system, where it draws in and expels gases from the chamber during operation. With a technical parameter of 6×10⁻², the pump is directly coupled with the motor, ensuring high rotational speed and compact size. The pump's structure is highly efficient and user-friendly. It is equipped with metallic vanes and is suitable as a fore-pump for diffusion pumps, as well as for precision instruments, and applications in industries such as pharmaceuticals, food packaging, electronics, and more.
Working Principle
The 2XZ Two Stage Direct Drive Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump is a double-stage, high-speed, oil-sealed rotary vane vacuum pump. Its working principle is similar to that of the 2X vacuum pump. The rotors are eccentrically mounted within the cylindrical housing of the stator, and vanes are freely fitted into the respective slots of the rotor.
When the rotor rotates at high speed, centrifugal force, along with spring force, pushes the vanes outwards, ensuring that their tips remain in close contact with the stator wall throughout the rotation. This separation forms the inlet and outlet ports on the stator. The volume of the space leading to the inlet port increases periodically, allowing gas to enter through the inlet pipe, while the space leading to the outlet port shrinks periodically to compress the previously drawn-in gas.
Through gas pressure and oil pressure, the exhaust valve at the outlet port opens to expel the gas from the pump, creating a vacuum on the intake side. At higher intake pressures, both stages of the pump can expel gas simultaneously, while at lower suction pressures, the gas is first expelled from the first stage to the second stage, and then from the second stage to the atmosphere.
The 2XZ Two Stage Direct Drive Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump is equipped with a gas-ballast valve. Its purpose is to introduce a certain amount of air into the exhaust space when the valve is open, thus reducing the partial pressure of vapor in the total discharge pressure.
Since the partial pressure of vapor is lower than the saturated vapor pressure corresponding to the pump’s working temperature, the vapor can be discharged with the introduced air, preventing the condensation of vapor in the pump oil. This helps avoid emulsification of the oil by condensed vapor, thereby extending the life of the oil. However, opening the gas-ballast valve will reduce the premier vacuum of the pump and increase its temperature.
Applications
The 2XZ Two Stage Direct Drive Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump is one of the basic devices for exhausting air from a sealed vessel. It can be used independently or as a fore-pump for booster pumps, diffusion pumps, and molecular pumps, or as a holding pump for a vacuum system and a pre-pump for titanium pumps.
It is widely used in industries such as electric vacuum devices, thermos manufacturing, vacuum welding, printing, plastics, refrigeration equipment repair, medical analysis devices, the solar energy industry, electric light sources, vacuum furnaces, scientific research, instrumentation, etc. Due to its compact size, lightweight design, and quiet operation, it is especially suitable for laboratory use.
