The SOW Horizontal Split-Casing Double-Suction Centrifugal Pump is designed primarily for the transportation of clean water or liquids with similar physical and chemical properties to water, with a maximum temperature of 105°C. It is suitable for various applications such as water supply systems in water treatment plants, pump stations, power plants, air conditioning circulating water, heating water circulation, industrial water supply systems, firefighting systems, ships, and the oil refining industry (for general liquids).

Hydraulic Performance

The optimized hydraulic model ensures not only nice hydraulic performance but also eliminates axial force (theoretically), which is a common issue that affects the operation of pumps, especially large-scale pumps. The pump body, pump cover, and impeller are precisely cast, and the smooth flow surfaces enhance the pump’s anti-cavitation performance and efficiency.


Sealing

Depending on the conveying medium or user requirements, either packing seals or mechanical seals are used, without any restrictions on rotation direction. For packing seals, there is sufficient space for easy replacement of the packing.


Operating Conditions

Maximum allowable working pressure is 2.5MPa: that is, the pump inlet pressure + pump head ≤ 2.5MPa. Based on the maximum pressure the pump casing can withstand, the pump body and cover materials are selected from gray cast iron (1.6MPa), ductile iron (2.0MPa), or cast steel (2.5MPa). Please specify the pressure conditions or material requirements when placing an order.
Medium: Clean water or other liquids with physical and chemical properties similar to clean water, with a temperature ≤ 105°C and solid particles ≤ 80mg/L.


Bearings

The pump uses closed rolling bearings lubricated with grease, requiring minimal maintenance and providing a long service life.
The bearings are equipped with oil cups to maintain a constant oil level and can also be lubricated with thin oil.
Imported high-quality bearings (SKF, NSK, NTN) are used to ensure smooth operation, low noise, and long service life.


Structure

The pump features a compact and stable structure with a horizontal split casing design. The pump’s inlet and outlet are located on the pump body, making it easy to perform maintenance by simply removing the pump cover and rotor components without dismantling the pipeline. This design simplifies the maintenance process. The electric motor (driver) can be positioned on either the left or right side, facilitating on-site installation. The rotor component's axial size is minimized to improve shaft rigidity, resulting in more stable and reliable operation. The pump body includes a sealing ring, and the impeller sealing ring is optional. The sealing rings can be replaced after wear, reducing maintenance costs during operation.
